Once a month on Saturdays, you’ll find a team of 4 to 5 Arundel Federal volunteer employees cooking food, cleaning dishes, serving meals and making guests feel welcome at Harundale Presbyterian’s Lunch Program that serves a hot lunch to those in need.

“What started as a way for the Bank to give back to the community in a meaningful and personal way beginning in the Fall of 2017, has really enriched lives here at the Bank” said Dave Costello, President & CEO and lunch program volunteer. “It’s a simple task – preparing a meal; but seeing the impact it has firsthand and knowing that our small contribution helps to feed local families who need assistance, is about much more. It brings home, in a very humbling way, what community really means.”

As a community bank, Arundel Federal is committed to making the neighborhoods we serve a better place to work, live and play as evidenced throughout the year by the various charities it supports and sponsors, however, this endeavor, is different. It is an opportunity for the Arundel Federal family to give personally through a culture that celebrates volunteering.

The Harundale Presbyterian Church is located at 1020 Eastway in Glen Burnie. Their lunch program is called Feeding the Hungry and serves approximately 5,400 meals per year. There are no restrictions or requirements, and everyone is welcome.
