Arundel Federal Savings Bank is pleased to announce the addition of John Berger to its Residential Lending Team as a Residential Loan Originator.
A 35-year veteran of the financial services industry, John’s expertise is in Construction to Permanent financing, and he will focus on bringing mortgage exposure to Harford County. Throughout his career in the banking and mortgage industry, he has been responsible for everything from originating to managing a team of loan officers.
Prior to joining AFSB, he worked for Provident State Bank, where he was a top performer in the mortgage division.
“John’s extensive knowledge of the construction permanent loan process and reputation for strong community relationships made him a natural fit within the Arundel Federal Residential Lending Team. His background and experience in the industry will be of tremendous value to both the Bank and its customers” commented Tom Herpel, President and CEO.
John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Towson State University. Happily married with three sons, one of his favorite pastimes was coaching his sons in baseball and basketball while they were growing up. When not helping homebuyers, he enjoys spending time with family and friends in Ocean City, Maryland.
