Beginning Monday, October 21, 2019 through Friday, November 15, 2019, all branches of Arundel Federal Savings Bank will be collecting food donations to support local food pantries this holiday season. Collection boxes will be in the lobbies of all six branches: Annapolis, Brooklyn, Gambrills, Glen Burnie, Pasadena and Severna Park.

“Helping families enjoy a holiday meal together is important to all of us at Arundel Federal. The outpouring of generosity from our employees and customers is truly heartwarming. We’ve been a drop-off location for food collection during the holidays for more than 10 years and invite everyone to stop by with a donation” said Dave Costello CEO.

This year’s donations will go to a variety of organizations including the Anne Arundel County Food Bank; South Baltimore Network; Severna Park based SPAN (Serving People Across Neighborhoods) and local pantries. Visit for branch locations and hours.

According to SPAN, these are some of the food basket items needed for the holidays:

  • Canned goods: gravy, corn, green beans, yams, fruit, cranberry sauce, sauerkraut, pumpkin filling
  • Boxed goods: stuffing, mashed potatoes, muffin mix, pie crust
  • Canned proteins: tuna, salmon, chicken, beans, peanut butter
  • Dairy: shelf-stable milk, evaporated milk, infant formula
